Greg Davis

President of Iplan Consulting

Greg Davis holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Arizona State University that he received in 2000. He also earned undergraduate degrees in Architecture and Geographic Analysis from the University of Minnesota (where Greg called home for 25 years before moving to Phoenix).

Professionally, his career started in 1997 as a Staff Planner for the Town of Gilbert. During Greg’s tenure in Gilbert, he helped coordinate and plan for the exponential growth Gilbert experienced. During the three years he was on staff, he participated in every facet of the municipal planning field.

In 2000, Greg was recruited to join the international engineering firm AMEC Infrastructure. The experience added a significant breadth of land development experience and knowledge to compliment his already robust understanding of institutional planning.

Being employed by one of the largest development consulting firms in North America was an eye-opening experience. AMEC allowed Greg to learn several disciplines not often available to land planning professionals – including surveying, civil engineering, grading and drainage design, traffic analysis, and geotechnical studies.

Such a large firm made it difficult for smaller clients to get equitable service. Recognizing an opportunity to better serve all of his clients, Greg started Iplan Consulting Corporation in 2002. As a result of his expertise in both private and public planning, Greg is able to bridge the gap between builders/developers and the government agencies overseeing land use in Arizona, California, and Colorado.

Greg has continually shaped and refined Iplan Consulting over the years to maximize the efficiency of a very inefficient field by keeping up to date on the ever-changing government processes and preferences to provide comprehensive advice for his development clients as he guides them through the often convoluted land development process.
